Training

  • How can you help your employees understand their Food Safety, Allergen and HACCP obligations?

RSPH Approved Training Centre.

Royal Society for Public Health

Sarah specialises in offering a range of RSPH accredited in-house training courses, many of which are OFQUAL recognised. Training in house allows for deeper discussions within your team on company specifics in a confidential environment. This often opens training access to a broader group of employees, as well as saving valuable time away from the business.

The focus is on changing behaviours and improving the food safety culture within your business, in addition to gaining a recognised and respected qualification.

Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 on the hygiene of foodstuffs

Food business operators are to ensure:

  • ......that food handlers are supervised and instructed and/or trained in food hygiene matters commensurate with their work activity.
  • ......that those responsible for the development and maintenance of HACCP or associated procedures have received adequate training in the application of the HACCP principles.

HACCP based procedures provide businesses with a cost effective system for control of food safety, from ingredients right through to production, storage and distribution to sale and service of the final consumer.

The preventive approach of HACCP based procedures not only improves food safety management but also complements other quality management systems.

Testimonials

"I worked with Sarah Howarth (2004 till 2009) for our Cargill European Based crush and grain origination, biodiesel and veg oil refinery business. Sarah joined us in 2004 and established a new team that handled our food safety and QA program. Extensive work was done on the supply chain for our origination business, handling our grains improving the understanding and mitigation (building layers of protection) managing risk/hazard (chemical, micro, FM). Sarah had great personal effectiveness handling our journey during the starter-builder phase of our new team."

Paul Deboe, Vice President Corporate Engineering & reliability at Cargill
